The Ministry of Ushering
The first person a visitor might encounter is the usher. Ushering is an important ministry of hospitality and assists with the whole worship experience. At Memorial we value the contribution of all ages to this ministry. Families and Sunday School classrooms are invited to serve together.

The Ministry of Altar Care
Preparing the worship space is a sacred calling. Under the dedicated leadership of Denise Rehor, a core group of people faithfully serve this ministry. Training and mentoring is available for anyone called to this ministry.

Besides the called ministry professionals, lay people serve as communion ministers. Anyone interested in training to serve communion should speak to the pastor.

The Ministry of the Lector
All the baptized are called to proclaim the good news of God in Christ. Some fulfill this call by serving as a lector for worship. All ages are welcome to assist with worship in this way. Laura Pejsha schedules the lectors.

Care Group

The Care Group is a ministry of the whole church to provide hospitality during fellowship and, even more importantly, at the time of a funeral.

The households of the congregation are divided into four groups that rotate to share the load of preparing and serving fellowship luncheons.

All are invited to serve in the kitchen for Sunday fellowship after worship. A sign-up sheet is located near the serving window.

For more information or questions contact Deb Parker, Dianne Martin or Shirley Klonglan.

Mission Projects

Annual Day of Service
Memorial participates in the ELCA annual Day of Service of “God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday” by giving to the community. Past projects include yardwork at Evergreen Lane, singing at Nevada Care Centers, and a neighborhood car wash.

Endowment Fund Grants
